Vendor Business Manager- HPI

SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to manage the sales and marketing strategies, combined profitability and the execution and goal attainment for assigned vendors. Collaborate with various departments and Co-Owners to gain support to achieve desired results for assigned vendors. This position does have direct reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional departments to maximize sales and vendor profitability.
• Develop new business strategies and work closely with the sales organization on execution.
• Promote and communicate D&H's value proposition to assigned vendors.
• Develop and manage action plans to maximize vendor profitability.
• Develop and present initiatives, strategic proposals and marketing plans to assigned vendors.
• Assist the Business Unit Leadership team in developing and executing business plans for assigned vendors.
• Work with the finance department to track vendor profitability and develop strategies for improvement.
• Develop strategic relationships with the assigned vendors and facilitate executive level relationships between the vendor and assigned vendors.
• Assume role as primary point of contact with assigned vendors.
• Understand and align vendor priorities and strategies within D&H.
• Ensure that the vendor key operating metrics are achieved.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Education
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience working for a distributor or vendor.
