Position Summary: This position maintains primary responsibility for the sourcing, onboarding, and ongoing approval of all third-party and fourth-party service providers of Selene Finance, Selene Title, and Selene Diligence, in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Collaborates and coordinates cross-functionally with all business department leaders to understand business needs and justification for outsourcing. Develops business requirements, vendor selection criteria, pricing, requests for information (RFI), and requests for proposal (RFP) where applicable. Issues due diligence requirements and/or RFPs to all proposed vendors and records responses for scoring and selection purposes.
Gathers information from potential third party providers, analyzes submissions, evaluates vendor risk in accordance with company policy and risk posture, and summarizes all findings and data in accordance with regulatory requirements (including but not limited to CFPB and ALTA Best Practices). Consolidates documentation and analysis into a clear package summary for presentation and recommendation to Selene management and committees.
Collaborates with legal department in contract review, redline and negotiation. Ensures all master service agreements, statements of work, and related contract documents meet Selene then-current requirements, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Collaborates with business leaders to ensure accuracy of scope of services and service level agreements and ensures financial penalties for performance failures are well documented.
Ensures all vendor diligence findings are remediated prior to new vendors being approved, and provides daily status updates of due diligence, identified risks, and open remediation items. Documents individual vendor records on each step of the sourcing, onboarding, and approval process. Collaborates with regulatory legal on OFAC screenings, accounts payable on new vendor setup.
Identifies and documents vendor cost savings initiatives; drives cost savings discussions and negotiations with vendors and suppliers on new contracts and renewals, and reports monthly hard and soft cost savings to VP of department.
Develops and issues surveys, solicitations and questionnaires to vendors, collects and analyzes data to document ongoing risk and exposure, and presents findings to Selene management and committees.
Completes and documents management reviews of subservice organization SOC reports, complementary user entity controls, and noted exceptions in accordance with annual RegAB and SSAE audit requirements.
Develops, maintains and publishes department policies and procedures, including but not limited to sourcing, procurement, and sole source justification, ensuring said documents are reconciled to regulatory recommendations and requirements.
Establishes internal controls and processes to reduce inaccuracies and improve efficiencies within the department as it relates to Vendor Management.
Provides coaching, training and development to business managers and teams to ensure compliance with department and corporate goals and policies, while providing an environment to team members that gives each member opportunities for professional growth. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
Works as a project manager on special situations as it relates to third party vendors and contributes to highly complex aspects of a project.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university, or 4 to 7 years related sourcing and procurement experience in the mortgage servicing industry, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with VendorRisk a plus.
