The Vendor Management & Procurement Specialist will build and manage relationships with our internal clients and the vendors who support our exciting and varied business across all corporate business units. You will need to show expert knowledge of vendor management, procurement principles, strong negotiation skills, and an eye for detail. You will be part of a fast-paced team supporting multiple internal stakeholders in a dynamic environment. Familiarity with vendor management and contract management systems like Venminder and Evisort is a plus.

Responsibilities

As our Vendor Risk Manager, you will:
  • Serve as the key point of contact between vendors and the business, supporting vendors with issue resolution across the P2P process. Act as a point of escalation for vendor issues and disputes, driving those issues to resolution.
  • Oversee the negotiation and maintenance of agreements with vendors, ensuring they are current, up-to-date, and compliant with business requirements. Manage the repository of vendor agreements in a contract management database to track key terms and dates (expirations, renewals) and assess demand.
  • Classify and rationalize the vendor portfolio to focus on the most strategically important vendor relationships. Maintain an inventory of vendor spend.
  • Create vendor scorecards to analyze vendor data and metrics, measuring and tracking vendor performance against delivery, quality, and cost.
  • Assist stakeholders with business reviews to discuss best practices and issues, ultimately improving vendor performance and strengthening business relationships.

Vendor Management Responsibilities:
  • Manage RFx events and documentation by managing corporate sourcing opportunities, including RFPs, direct negotiations, etc. Use market research from internal and external sources to drive sourcing decisions.
  • Stay knowledgeable about the consumer financial service vendor market and supplier/vendor capabilities, both technically and geographically.
  • Innovate within the procurement space, improving tools or processes to better support the procurement lifecycle.
  • Provide support throughout the contracting process, including initial contract review, maintenance, management of contracts post-execution, and offboarding activities.
  • Determine specifications and requirements for products and services through communication with internal stakeholders and the department's strategic plan.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to identify and evaluate strategies and roadmaps to facilitate a robust strategic sourcing pipeline.
  • Own maintenance of vendor management policy to ensure it reflects industry best practices.

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in performing vendor management, contract management, and bidding.
  • Practiced knowledge of the end-to-end RFx process.
  • Experience with vendor management and contract management systems like Venminder and Evisort or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact in a cross-functional environment with all levels of executive management.
  • Proven experience in the commercial environment with demonstrated success in managing complex commercial and contractual negotiations, completing competitive market analysis, and monitoring ongoing vendor performance management/scorecards.
  • Strong contractual knowledge and negotiation skills-understanding of and experience in contract law and applicable legislation.
  • Strong decision-making ability.
  • Ability to learn new applications relevant to the role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
