About the job

Google's custom-designed machines make up one of the largest and most powerful computing infrastructures in the world. The Hardware Testing Engineering team ensures that this cutting-edge equipment is reliable. In the R&D lab, you design test equipment for prototypes of our machinery and develop the protocols used to scale these tests for the entire global team. Working closely with design engineers, you give input on designs to improve our hardware until you're sure it meets Google's standards of quality and reliability.

The full potential of quantum computing will be unlocked with a large-scale computer capable of error-corrected computations. Google Quantum AI's mission is to build this computer and unlock solutions to classically intractable problems. Our roadmap is focused on advancing the capabilities of quantum computing and enabling meaningful applications.

As a Verification Engineer, you will develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate the performance and reliability of Google Quantum AI's superconducting quantum processor components. You will be involved in designing and execution of tests at room and low temperature (including cycling cryogenic systems) to verify cryogenic Radio Frequency (RF) devices, including superconducting resonators and circulators, ensuring adherence to design specifications and accelerating the development of a leading quantum computing service.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $93,000-$133,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
