Job Description: Verification & Validation Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA

As a Verification & Validation Engineer, you will be part of the team working on verification of embedded software and validation of non-product software tools. You will be creating the test protocols, reports and supporting documentation to comply with Abbott's SOPs and applicable regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze requirements, develop test protocols, document reports to verify & validate product software and custom non-product software applications developed in house.
Develop and execute integration and verification testing of embedded software and contribute towards developing class III implantable medical devices.
Assess the need for validation of non-product software and create risk assessment documentation, supporting protocols, summary reports, and other documentation.
Work with vendors, external partners to supporting non-product software validation.
Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Experience and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Computer, Electrical, or Software), Computer Science, or related discipline.
6+ years of experience in software verification and validation in Medical Devices.
Strong Experience in testing atleast couple of the below areas of embedded software - GUI, Signal processing, algorithms, embedded peripherals - ADC, GPIO, Timers etc.; communication protocols - UART, WiFi, 4G LTE.
Knowledge in lab tools - Power supplies, Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers etc.
Knowledge in testing software built on Embedded Linux.
Knowledge in using Test management tools preferably PTC Integrity
Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Multitasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in timely manner.
Attention to detail.

Minimum 6 years of experience testing embedded systems
