Ocean State Veterinary Specialists (OSVS) in East Greenwich, RI, is seeking a great Veterinary Criticalist to join our dynamic team. We have talented emergency clinicians and specialists in surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, avian/exotics, and radiology. We hire only internship-trained emergency doctors to practice specialty-level medicine on the emergency service. Most patients admitted through emergency stay on the emergency service, rather than being transferred to other specialties. Criticalists support emergency clinicians, residents, and interns on both receiving and inpatient shifts.
Collaborative Network: Bay State Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Services (BSVESS) in Swansea, MA, is part of our collaborative network, enhancing comprehensive care.
Supportive Environment: At OSVS, we foster a supportive environment with sit-down rounds to discuss all patients on the emergency service. Our ER clinicians, many with over 10 years of experience, continue to learn every day. We hire people who work well together, and most of our specialists and many ER doctors started their careers with us and never left.
Respected Critical Care Group: The critical care group is respected and appreciated by the entire team. Criticalists' compensation is not dependent on production, as they provide support and assistance to all doctors. They play a key role in teaching interns and residents and maintaining quality control for inpatients. We are designing a new ICU and building a new facility for our sister hospital in Swansea, MA. Opportunities to work at both hospitals will be available.
About OSVS: OSVS is a 26,000 sq. ft. facility in East Greenwich, RI, with dedicated emergency and specialty areas. We provide referral and emergency services to Rhode Island, eastern Connecticut, and southern Massachusetts. Equipment includes digital radiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI, laparoscopy, fluoroscopy, endoscopes, mechanical ventilation, telemetry, a complete in-house lab, and state-of-the-art monitoring equipment. Our staff includes specialists in internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, radiology, emergency/critical care, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, and avian/exotics, as well as exceptional emergency clinicians. We offer a rotating internship, emergency/critical care residency, emergency/surgery internship, and surgery residency. The emergency caseload is high and challenging, and our fee structure allows us to do a lot for our patients.
