Position Summary
  • We're looking for a compassionate, skilled, and enthusiastic Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Nevada to join our dynamic team as a Veterinary Nursing Manager.   • The Nursing Services Manager is a key leader responsible for overseeing all veterinary technicians and assistant positions within the hospital. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our nursing teams operate at the highest standard of care, maintaining efficiency, fostering a supportive environment, and driving professional growth and development. The Nursing Services Manager collaborates closely with the Medical Director, Hospital Director, and Talent Acquisition Team to create a seamless and consistent approach to patient care, team management, and service excellence.
Salary & Schedule
  • $48.00 - $52.00 an hour (commensurate based off experience)
  • The desired work schedule will ultimately be up to the needs of the hospital. However, we aim for this to be Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Requirements
  • Must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Nevada(CVT, RVT, LVMT are eligible as long as they become licensed through the state of Nevada)
  • Associates and/or Bachelors Degree within Veterinary Technology
  • 5+ years working as a Veterinary Technician
  • 2+ years Supervisor/Leadership experience preferred
  • 2+ years Training experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to inspire, lead, and build trust within a diverse team
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and best practices in a veterinary or healthcare setting

Champion Exceptional Patient Care
  • Ensure every veterinarian is fully supported and every patient receives top-notch care
  • Keep nursing protocols running smoothly, from patient care to laboratory duties and beyond
  • Partner with the team to develop innovative ideas for improving patient care
  • Ensure that all nursing staff comply with regulatory standards and hospital policies, maintaining Veritas' high standards for safety and clinical quality
  • Address client concerns as they arise, working to resolve issues promptly and to promote a client-first culture that fosters trust and satisfaction
Empower and Train Your Team
  • Plan and lead engaging on-site workshops and training sessions
  • Develop tailored training modules for Entry-Level positions, Veterinary Assistants, and Licensed Veterinary Technicians
  • Serve as a supportive coach, offering guidance and constructive feedback to foster growth
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and create professional development plans to support each team member's career growth
Collaborate and Communicate
  • Be the essential link between nursing staff and practice management, ensuring seamless communication
  • Monitor daily operations to ensure resources are used wisely and the hospital culture remains positive
  • Lead recruitment efforts, onboarding, and ongoing training for technicians and assistants to build a skilled and cohesive nursing team
