About the Role
In our global Advanced Materials business, we offer an extensive range of high-quality products, sourced through long-term collaborations with world-leading principals, such as functional additives, specialty compounds, pigments, flame retardants, masterbatches, thermoplastics and thermosets, adhesive solutions or advanced composites.

IMCD Advanced Materials works with a wide range of industries, including automotive, electronics, construction, packaging, consumer goods, coatings, and healthcare, providing both products and technical expertise to help customers develop high-performance applications.

The Vice President, Advanced Materials, United States, plays a critical role in enabling and leading the organization's success. Through strong commercial and engaging leadership this role drives profitable and sustainable revenue growth in our Advanced Materials business unit in the United States. This role has career advancement opportunities to support the region of the Americas for Advanced Materials.

Reporting to the President, IMCD US, this individual will be a critical partner for the US Leadership Team to lead the sales organization, drive the business strategy and ultimate success. Additionally, there is a matrix reporting relationship with the Advanced Materials Director IMCD Group to drive close global collaboration and coordination for Advanced Materials.

The ideal incumbent will possess an innate curiosity with a desire to win, will have a strong business acumen, be a strategic thinker, and have proven success in managing a P&L and building high performing sales teams to drive strong sales opportunity pipelines, grow sales and increase profitability. They will also have a strong penchant for creating a collaborative culture across the organization and embody the IMCD values. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the market, processors, compounders and the product portfolio. They are comfortable building and growing relationships across customers, suppliers and the industry. Additionally, they are comfortable engaging with market players on M&A opportunities.

Job Location
Cleveland, OH. (Westlake, OH Headquarters). Relocation available. Domestic or International travel will be in the 50-60% range, mostly in the United States

Essential Functions
Sales Leadership: Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets. Establish clear sales strategies and objectives that align with the company's goals including organic growth, principal expansion and M&A activities.
Revenue Growth: Drive top-line revenue growth by identifying new market opportunities, expanding the customer base, and improving sales processes. Create scalable sales systems to support sustained growth policies and programs that align with business goals and drive business results.
Market Expansion: Identify new markets, industries, and verticals to drive growth. Cultivate relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to open new business opportunities
Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Oversee accurate sales forecasting and performance tracking. Regularly report on sales performance, opportunities, and challenges to the executive team. Leverages data to tell a story and help drive fact-based decision making for our leaders and organization
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing, customer service, regulatory, sales support and supply chain to ensure a cohesive and aligned approach to customer service, onboarding, retention, and growth
Budget Management: Manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve sales targets while maintaining cost control.
Customer-Centric Approach: Ensure the sales team prioritizes customer needs and experiences, building long-term relationships with clients and maintaining high customer satisfaction. Ensure digital marketing and digital tools (portal, lead management, sales assistant) are deployed effectively.

Education and Experience
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience with a Master's Degree preferred (or MBA)
At least 10 years of progressive sales leadership and P&L management experience, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth in a senior sales role.
Deep understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and best practices
Previous experience as a Sales Director, VP of Sales, or equivalent position, preferably in Advanced Materials
Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and work with C-level executives.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
