We are seeking a Vice President of Engineering.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
Senior leadership position engaged in a collaborative team environment with direct responsibility for all new product development, existing product configurations, technical continuous improvement projects, engineering processes, departmental budget control, and technical team development across all DD locations. Define and deploy corporate strategic objectives.

Create and sustain a culture consistent with company's core values and vision statement. Promote respectful, open and honest communication across all organization levels and disciplines. Participate in leadership teams to define and prioritize new products and major business initiatives. Define resource, monitor, and challenge cross functional teams to successfully accomplish stated initiatives. Define and deploy simple, measurable metrics to align employees with company initiatives and core values. Communicate results expected, provide tools required to complete goals, hold self and team accountable to complete goals. Support the company's deployed projects by appropriate resource alignment (both human and capital). Remove barriers and obstacles from team's path to aid in their execution of project objectives. Passionately lead both direct and indirect reports creating process consistencies, synergies and waste elimination within and across functions and locations. Ensure companies compliance with all governmental regulations, evaluate and approve intellectual property filings, prosecutions, and defense of infringements. Provide engineering and technical support toward the maintenance / improvement of existing product configurations and manufacturing / supply line processes. Analyze and distill complex business signals and drivers, internal and external. Take appropriate responses to include adjusting priorities and strategies to take advantage of opportunities to maximize profitability. Support Executive Officers by providing advance notice and possible solutions to business anomalies. Develop and strengthen the engineering and technical skill team members. Provide personal and professional growth opportunities as appropriate. Administer corrective actions and discipline as appropriate. Indirect leadership, management and development of supporting staff, (Controllers, Sales Managers, Product Managers, IT Managers, HR Managers, Technical Service Managers, Commodity Managers). Promote a safe workplace and act in a safe manner at all times while proactively eliminating unsafe work conditions.
WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Master's degree is preferred but not required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Excellent oral and written presentation skills Ability to effectively communicate to a diverse audience (customers, suppliers, employees) Product development experience with a complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Deep manufacturing engineering experience with complex tooling, automation and robotics Strong design for manufacturing & design for quality mindset Ability to simplify complex business processes, provide role clarity and empower decision-making Highly collaborative leadership with a passion for best for the business outcomes Strategic, multi-year planning ability Past leadership of PMO (Project Management Office) and NPD (New Product Development) processes Results oriented, humble leadership approach
