Overview: Overview: The Vice President, IT Infrastructure & Technology provides the vision and leadership for designing, developing and implementing IT initiatives, deliver innovate best in class solutions in support of creating member service value. Responsibilities include influencing and directing the Credit Union's IT Help Desk, Server & Data Storage Management, Multi Data Center Asset Management, Network & Telecommunications Infrastructure, Business Continuity and IT Applications Management to ensure key business strategies and processes are driven by systems that enable change, growth, and flexibility. The Vice President must ensure that IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, cost efficient, and strategically sound, reflecting business needs and best practice in creating value for the company and our members.

Responsibilities:

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Develop the leadership team and mentor talent to deliver the technology management and execution capabilities of the company.
  • Support multiple functions within IT including Network Operations, Telecomm, Service desk support, Server management, as well as business user access and reliability.
  • Conduct analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvements necessary to support the organization objectives.
  • Establish infrastructure operational plan to achieve department goals.
  • Implement and manage processes and controls that assure maximum uptime and quick service to the user community for both on premise and Cloud workloads.
  • Collaborate with Information Security Team to ensure that all IT activities are performed in a secure, safe and compliant manner, meeting all internal and external standards and controls.
  • Assist with technical implementation and troubleshooting where needed.
  • Manage IT vendor relationships. Oversee IT vendor management, creating strategic partnerships with key technology providers to ensure maximizing utilization of technology solutions; secure the best possible solutions and pricing.
  • Perform analysis of network needs and contribute to design of network infrastructure, integration and installation.
  • Work with third party and IT team to ensure that computer system platform provides sufficient computing resources to deliver the desired level of business performance.
  • Evaluates network hardware and software requirements and capabilities.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental budget.
  • Establish and control IT system access and security.
  • Manages computer operation scheduling, backups and storage, and retrieval functions.
  • Negotiate and contract with consultants, technical personnel and vendor for services or products.
  • Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years managing infrastructure teams.
  • 7+ years' experience in progressively responsible technology leadership roles.
  • Ability to effectively manage a team of highly technical individuals across multiple areas of IT.
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent customer service and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • High level of self-motivation.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative and problem- solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Successful track record of working with third-party providers to deliver best in class service / systems.
  • Advance in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Highly ethical.
