Overview

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking a Vice President of Development and Growth for Alternative lodging will be responsible to grow the Waybound and Explorer Cabins brands in new and existing markets. This includes refining and executing the growth strategy, identifying growth opportunities in new markets, leading the negotiations with real estate and capital partners, identifying new capital partners, negotiation of brand agreements, and supporting the design and construction of Waybound and Explorer Cabin properties. Success for this leader will be measured by the successful execution of the strategy to achieve our alternative lodging growth targets.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the refinement and execution of the Waybound and Explorer Cabin growth strategy in new and existing markets. By working with external and internal partners
  • Assess new locations for possible offerings identify and recommend top target markets for development. Complete market studies to understand demand levels and our competitive positioning. Work with developer on acquisition of properties
  • Responsible to execute the strategy to achieve the financial targets
  • Evaluate, enhance, and execute the brand strategy and value impact of the Alternative Lodging offerings. Partner with external distribution partners
  • Manage relationships with investment partners, the board, external distribution partners, Delaware North support partners, and external support providers


Qualifications

  • 10 + years' senior level experience in creating and executing development and growth strategies across multiple geographically disperse locations
  • 10 + years' experience identifying and creating partnerships with investment partners within the capital markets
  • Bachelors degree
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to work across a matrixed organization with multiple key stakeholders in a collaborative manner
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team
