Summary:

Reporting directly to the General Manager, responsible for the overall operational and strategic direction, administration, and coordination of all activities of the facilities departments within Aquarius and Edgewater Resorts.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, develop, measure performance, and discipline of division's leadership staff
  • Develop, implement, execute, and achieve long and short-term divisional business strategies
  • Formulate and operate within annual marketing plan, operating budget, and capital budget to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of financial reports to monitor the profitability and expenses of the division and take appropriate action by creating and implementing strategies and tactics to reduce cost and/or increase revenue
  • Oversee all construction projects within Aquarius and Edgewater Resorts
  • Standardize effective and efficient processes across Aquarius and Edgewater Resorts facilities departments
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs
  • Manage capital budgets, construction, projects, and other company-wide initiatives
  • Implement energy-related const-saving measures, calculate budget, and potential ROI
  • Develop and implement staffing plans that provide divisional leadership appropriate labor to meet guest service and operational expectations
  • Assess properties' facilities, develop performance improvement plan, and implement plan to ensure properties' building operating systems are performing appropriately
  • Ensure all buildings, life support systems, and utility services are functioning in a safe and efficient fashion
  • Assess business needs as they relate to the facilities department and
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements:

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years senior leadership experience performing same or similar job duties within the Engineering and/or Facilities field
  • Previous experience reading and interpreting blueprints, schematic drawings, and specifications.
  • Have working knowledge in all areas of building engineering and facilities
  • Experience working with collective bargaining agreements and union personnel
  • Backflow prevention certification preferred
  • Universal EPA certification preferred
  • Knowledge of safe working practices for the maintenance trades, including regulatory requirements
  • Professional-level ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and team members
  • Demonstrated skills in influencing other, people skills, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Results and people oriented, but have sound judgment-ability to balance other business considerations; Service oriented, but assertive/persuasive
  • Proven experience providing high level of guest service
  • Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Verify right to work in the United States
