Job Description

The Vice President of Retail Operations leads the store support functions in training, communication, procurement, merchandising, and workforce management. This role serves as a liaison for Field Leaders to internal support departments, providing strategic oversight in business process improvements, new store openings, regional training, and event venue management. The position collaborates with store operations, logistics, finance, human resources, marketing, buying and merchandising to meet sales and profit targets. The Vice President of Retail Operations bridges the field and corporate office, promoting communication and streamlining efficiencies. This position reports to the COO and future successor within 1 - 2 years.

Responsibilities
- Lead teams to elevate the store's customer experience through communication, training, and store processes.
- Drive performance of financial controls through labor analytics and purchasing controls.
- Develop and enforce retail strategies by partnering with the corporate office and supporting the Retail Field in a result-oriented, timely, and fiscally responsible manner.
- Develop, implement, and maintain operational policies and procedures to ensure organizational consistency and efficiency across retail stores to enhance the customer experience.
- Development of processes to ensure correct execution of marketing, operations, and merchandising guidelines.
- Drive process improvement to ensure cost-effective purchasing and timely deliverables.
- Ensure effective and timely communication between the corporate office and retail stores.
- Demonstrate strategic business acumen with a focus on key field KPIs, such as sales, general compliance of operational processes, inventory control, shrink, scheduling, merchandising and labor, and make data-driven recommendations to improve results.
- Work with Talent and Organizational Development leadership to identify training and coaching opportunities, ensuring compliance and consistency in resolutions.
- Support company and department goals, meeting business unit KPIs.
- Develop and analyze KPI and financial reports to identify growth opportunities, control costs, and improve sales and profitability.
- Strong Excel Skills
- Analysis and Reporting: Develop and present detailed reports using Excel's advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and conditional formatting.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Ensure data integrity and precision in all spreadsheet-related tasks.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Use Excel's tools to analyze data and provide actionable insights.

Skills and Knowledge
Ability to use Excel to analyze data and provide actional insights, Action Oriented, Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills, Excellent organization skills with the ability to plan and execute tasks efficiently, Extreme attention to detail, Manage Time, Motivational and situational leadership and coaching, Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Qualifications

Qualifications: Minimum 10+ years of Retail Store Operations experience in retail store operations, with a focus on strategy, business development, and directing field management. At least 4-5 years of multi-district management experience required with a focus on apparel; 4-year College Degree. At least 2 - 3 years corporate or equivalent experience. Experience with NetSuite preferred.

Required to stand and walk; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; differentiate colors. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds. The position also requires the ability to work in, on, around, over and under fixed equipment and ladders.
