The group drives and places innovative parametric risk transfer solutions for Marsh clients and is engaged with clients and colleagues globally. We are responsible for the entire chain of the risk transfer process, from identifying risk drivers, modeling and structuring, to marketing, negotiation with insurers and documentation.

Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $104,600 to $222,900.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

We will count on you to:
- Understand clients' needs across various industries, develop targets, identify risks and develop parametric solutions
- Lead internal and external client meetings to discuss exposure and possible solutions
- Leverage a deep understanding of all available parametric products and solutions, with focus on weather and forced outage risks, to educate clients on pros and cons of these alternative risk finance options
- Liaise closely with property, power & energy, parametric origination team members to develop, present and place tailored client solutions
- Work with senior team members to develop marketing strategy
- Collaborate closely with internal property, industry and regional leaders to identify targets
- While the focus of this role is on the US, we will count on you to support parametric team members globally with client-focused marketing efforts
- Develop material for client presentations, internal and external sales efforts, and colleague training on parametric solutions and trends
- Review insurance policies and financial contracts, and identify potential pitfalls and improvements
- Take responsibility for the entire process, from the initial educational calls, to placement, documentation, and post-binding support
- Follow the established internal processes and standards, including compliance, data storage, term sheets, and client presentations
What you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field; masters or math/science degree preferred
- 5-10 years of experience, preferably working in the re/insurance industry as a broker or underwriter
- Experience with parametric solutions or a closely related field, with technical background
- Client-centric empathy and drive to bring better understanding of weather and natural disaster risk to less technical audiences
- Curiosity and eagerness to constantly learn and apply new solutions. Ability to face and troubleshoot difficult and complex problems
- Can work independently with minimal supervision with ability to manage projects/processes
- Ability to influence others within and outside of the job function regarding approach and procedures
- Ability to develop strong internal/external client-oriented solutions
- Superior detail orientation, excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Strong teamwork skills, hard working with a constant positive attitude
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel & Power Point
