As a successful Business Developer in this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront, delivering not just logistical but also environmental and culinary services to government agencies. Key Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
You'll be at the forefront overseeing revenue-generating activities, cultivating new relationships, expanding existing relationships and closing deals within the government domain. Your key duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Strategic Relationship Building: Utilize your well-established network to foster strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the government sector. Uphold and enhance customer relationships, ensuring unwavering loyalty through excellent customer service.
  • Sales Leadership: Be at the forefront of delivering not only logistical but also environmental and culinary services to government agencies, positioning Cotton Logistics as a trusted partner. Effectively relay customer needs to Project Coordinator, Project Manager, and Field personnel for project efficiency.
  • Innovation and Solutions: Spearhead initiatives to introduce cutting-edge solutions that address the unique needs of government clients, contributing to the evolution of government support solutions.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends and opportunities within the government sector, providing insights to guide strategic decision-making.


What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of generating revenue in the government sector.

Qualifications:
  • Marketing/Business degree in related field preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of sales experience conducting sales and business development activities across Federal and State markets.
  • Ability to travel 50%, both domestically and internationally as business needs require
  • Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • Proficiency in cold calling, lead creation, and effective follow-up strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail

  • Generate new leads, research potential clients and their requirements
  • Must have an established book of business selling within the government sector
  • Schedule in-person presentations with key decision-makers
  • Proficiency in cold calling, lead creation, and effective follow-up strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills

Knowledge & Skills
  • Understanding of the FAR and Government procurement process and vehicles
  • Experience reading and understanding RFI's, RFPs, RFQ's, government contracts and regulations
  • Must have experience writing government proposals and technical writing skills
  • Working knowledge of small business, 8(a), and/or tribally owned contracting procedures and advantages.
  • Proven track record of established relationships with key government decision-makers.
  • Strong work ethic, resilience, grit, and a drive for success.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced working environment.
