Overview:
As the Vice President Senior Architect & Development, you will play a pivotal role in implementing the architectural vision and development strategies of our organization. This dual role encompasses overseeing architectural designs, guiding project development, and leading teams to ensure alignment with our business goals and industry standards, particularly in financial, government, or highly regulated industries.

  • On-Premises and Cloud Infrastructure: Oversee the design, deployment, and management of both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency.
  • DevOps Oversight: Collaborate with the DevOps team to streamline software development and deployment processes, fostering a culture of continuous integration and delivery.
  • Previous experience in Financial or Banking Institution


Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Leadership:

  • Implement and collaborate on the architectural design and development of complex projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain architectural frameworks, models, and guidelines tailored to the standards of highly regulated industries.
  • Conduct project reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices within financial and government sectors.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.

Development Oversight:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of architecture and development processes.
  • Oversee project timelines and budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Strategically plan and prioritize development projects, aligning them with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure that development practices follow architectural guidelines and best practices.

Team Management:

  • Manage and mentor a team of architects, developers, and DevOps, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct performance reviews and facilitate professional development opportunities to enhance team skills.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Communicate and present architectural and development plans to stakeholders, clients, and team members.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align architectural and development strategies with organizational goals.

Industry Engagement:

  • Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in architecture and technology, particularly relevant to financial and government regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design and development, with a focus on financial, government, or highly regulated industries.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably at the VP level or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of architectural and software development methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Professional license or certification is preferred.
