Key responsibilities include ensuring timely preparation and maintenance of investor reports, managing asset-level strategies, and overseeing relevant analytical procedures. Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in real estate investment, fund management, finance, real estate valuations, and portfolio financial analysis modeling.
- CFA qualification is preferred.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in modeling and analyzing and interpreting portfolio rollups at the fund level to inform strategy and valuation decisions.
- Expertise in financial modeling and software systems, particularly Excel and Argus.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and proactively drive projects to completion.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work both individually, collaboratively and cross functionally as well as providing coaching to team members.
- Openness to receiving and learning from constructive feedback.
- A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to adjust thinking based on changing information and maintain focus under pressure.
- Flexibility and commitment to availability, including potential evening and weekend schedules.
Job Functions:
- Supervise the performance of financial modeling techniques and quantitative analyses, including the development and maintenance of fund and asset-level financial models.
- Oversee the compilation of asset-level data for quarterly and annual reports, responding to investor inquiries as needed.
- Manage the quarterly appraisal process, coordinating amongst asset management, fund management, and third-party appraisal firms.
- Evaluate fund performance against industry indices and benchmarks.
- Monitor fund liquidity, interest rates, and other economic elements impacting investment performance.
- Present comprehensive investment information, including risks, fees, and performance statistics during investor calls and meetings.
- Respond to ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests timely and accurately.
- Lead the review of asset management models and the compilation of fund roll-ups for the Investment Committee.
- Stay up-to-date on asset-level strategies and market research relevant to real estate investment trends.
- Prepare and present Investment Committee and investor materials efficiently and accurately.
- Implement consistent processes for the Fund and Separate Accounts to ensure quality control and task uniformity.
- Ability to effectively read, interpret, and ensure compliance with Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs) and Loan Agreements, including any restrictions therein.
- Foster a high-performing team culture, maintaining open lines of communication, building morale, and driving team development.
- Provide guidance and feedback to the team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned work in adherence to set guidelines and quality standards.
- Demonstrate leadership and accountability in addressing and completing tasks promptly and accurately, team concerns, and adhering to crucial deadlines.
- Exhibit dedication to job responsibilities, remaining available as needed, including potential evening and weekend hours during time-sensitive projects or deadlines.
