The Virtual Construction Coordination Manager works directly within the Virtual Construction Department
overseeing and supporting coordination efforts throughout the company. The Coordination Manager is
responsible for managing the start-up and execution of multiple coordination projects and coordinators,
ensuring consistency amongst each of the projects. The position will also shape DAVIS' virtual coordination best
practices and education program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform responsibilities with excellence in service, integrity and building relationships as exemplified in
DAVIS core values
Assist with project plan during both preconstruction and construction phases
Complete coordination start-up activities based on company standard practices
Manage coordination execution from start-up through closeout
Coordinate, manage, and manipulate models created by design team partners, subcontractors, and
vendors
Develop supplementary models to be used in the coordination process
Assist and oversee project coordinators with day-to-day responsibilities
Actively coordinate projects as the need demands
Track coordination progress on assigned projects
Develop and teach virtual construction courses to educate DAVIS coordinators, as well as other
operations employees
Develop, refine, and promote the use of DAVIS coordination standards
Identify opportunities to expand or improve DAVIS' coordination efforts and incorporate into
coordination standards
Work with existing conditions and field technologies to harness the full potential of the coordination
effort
Serve as a liaison with Operations and promote the adoption and implementation of virtual construction
initiatives
Provide technical assistance to others as it relates to virtual construction activities and initiatives
Attend industry events to stay atop building information modeling (BIM) trends and developments, and
seek opportunities to expand Virtual Construction use
Develop relationships with subcontractor, design team partners and clients
Collaborate with all parties involved in the construction process
Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE + SPECIAL SKILLS
*Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field or equivalent
construction experience*
Three (3) or more years of project experience coordinating projects using virtual construction tools and
techniques*
Project management experience*
Proficiency using building information modeling software applications, including but not limited to Revit,
AutoCAD, and Navisworks*
Decision making, research and analytical problem solving skills*
Time management with the ability to organize, assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and
demands, and to work independently*
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and interact effectively at all levels within the
organization*
MS Office - Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook experience*
Strong understanding of commercial building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing,
structure (concrete and steel buildings) and building envelope
Knowledge of principles and practices of engineering and construction project management, including
safety standards
Advanced ability to produce models using various applications

PHYSICAL JOB DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully
perform the essential functions of this job. Reaching above and below, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and bending.
The employee must occasionally lift / carry / move up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment,
file, and perform specialized skills. Needs a high degree of concentration in a busy office environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee
to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position may require some travel for conferences,
educational sessions, and other company events.

The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to higher noise levels and hazardous
working conditions when working at job sites. Safety precautions must be taken and resources will be provided.

The base salary (or hourly) range for this position is
$110,000.00 - $135,000.00
