JOB PURPOSE:
You will be accountable for the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex voice and telecom solutions utilizing Cisco technologies in the role of Cisco Voice and Telecom Architect. In this role, you will be a technical advisor, to provide technical expertise to set the vision and strategy for the leveraged use of voice/collaboration technology. In order to guarantee the most efficient and cost-effective utilization of resources and technology without compromising the integrity of the voice, the Voice Architect implements intricate design principles and methodologies. In accordance with the Enterprise's established vision, professional communication skills are necessary to present to and influence organizational leadership, colleagues, business partners, and industry expert. Experience in cloud-based technologies, mobility, wireless, web technologies, enterprise architecture, project management, and information security technologies. The responsibilities of a subject matter expert in Cisco Unified Communications solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assistance is provided in the development and revision of policies and procedures for the IS Voice department.
2. Provide quality customer care to each internal and external customer in accordance with established standards of care, practice and performance, and that we follow System and IS policies and procedures.
3. Maintains the technical library. Ensures that all network documentation is complete and up to date.
Assures that technology solutions adhere to industry best practices and Piedmont standards.
4. Promotes positive working environment by early problem identification and resolution via motivational and positive reinforcement techniques.
5. Regularly meets with Vendors to determine the applicability of new solutions to the Piedmont network
6. Identify and evaluate tools which allow for the effective management and tuning of the Piedmont network infrastructure.
7. Serve as the SME Technical resource for all voice solutions deployed within the Piedmont voice network.
A. Solution Design and Architecture: Construct comprehensive voice and telecommunications solutions utilizing Cisco Unified Communications technologies, considering scalability, security, and business requirements.
B. Technical Leadership: Advise a group of engineers in the implementation, configuration, and resolution of issues pertaining to Cisco voice and telecom systems while providing technical leadership.
C. System Optimization and Performance Monitoring: Conduct routine evaluations of system performance, optimize communication quality, network dependability, and user experience, and implement necessary adjustments.
D. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Ensure that voice and telecom solutions are in line with organizational objectives by collaborating with cross-functional teams comprised of network engineers, system administrators, and business stakeholders.
E. Reporting and Documentation: Ensure thorough records of voice and telecommunications configurations, procedures, and processes. As required, generate reports and provide stakeholders with insights.
F. Security and Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations while implementing and enforcing security measures to safeguard voice and telecom systems.
G. Troubleshooting and Resolution: Oversee troubleshooting initiatives pertaining to intricate voice and telecommunications complications, discerning underlying causes and expeditiously implementing resolutions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Proficient in interpersonal and communication abilities to facilitate collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders and teams.
Extensive knowledge of compliance standards, network protocols, and security pertaining to voice and telecommunications systems.
Familiarity with integrating cloud-based voice solutions with on-premises systems.
Proficiency in emerging audio communications technologies.
Skill and ability to lead the architectural design and maintenance of complex medical grade networks.
Ability to perform under stressful and changing circumstances and deadlines.
Skill and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in-writing.
Skill and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work as a member of a team.
Skill and ability in Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is required.
In lieu of degree, four (4) years of relevant work experience will be accepted in addition to the experience requirement.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Three (3) years of experience in the design, implementation, and management of Cisco Unified Communications solutions.
(If no degree, a total of seven (7) years of experience required).
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Cisco credentials including CCNP Collaboration, CCIE Collaboration is required.
Demonstrable expertise in the configuration and resolution of issues pertaining to Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Unity Connection, Contact Center, SIP, VoIP, and other pertinent technologies.
Work experience in a multi-site or large enterprise environment.
