The successful candidate should have extensive experience in client management, customer service and managing teams of successful professionals. The Volkswagen Sales Manager will work closely with the General Manager and the rest of the Volkswagen Sales team.

Responsibilities:
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Effectively displays, merchandises, and promotes all vehicles, new or used.
  • Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all salespeople.
  • Resolves all employee concerns in a prompt and effective manner; resolves internal conflicts among employees in the department; resolves all disputes and difficulties with professionalism and composure in cooperation with HR.
  • Promotes the dealership by presenting a professional image and positive attitude at all times; demonstrates commitment to other staff, customers, dealership, and company.
  • Monitors the payroll records for all salespeople.
  • Adheres to the standards of performance and conduct dealing closely with employees when breaches from company policy occur.
  • Monitors the development of department employees to enhance sales-related skills.
  • Assists individual salespeople in setting aggressive, but realistic monthly goals and objectives.
  • Ensures customer service vehicle availability and showroom stock requirements match customer needs.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of sales management experience, preferably in automotive retail or automotive-related industry.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Demonstrated history of managing a successful and diverse team of sales professionals.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and communication skills are essential.
  • Prior experience working with current technology, computer systems, and software is preferred.
  • Proficiency in teaching and demonstrating customer relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated history of working well with internal and external audiences and often multiple clients at a time.
  • Be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license.

Volkswagen Sales Managers receive commission and bonus payments based on Gross Profit and Volume of Sales. The average Volkswagen Sales Managers annual compensation can range from $120,000 to $160,000, though any individual's wages, commissions, or bonuses could be less or more based on their individual performance.
