We are looking for a Vice President of Consumer Marketing for the largest automotive marketplace in Canada.

A rare and incredible opportunity for a skilled Marketer to command significant resources and be responsible for leading an already large Canadian household-name brand to the next level. Full ownership of the entire Consumer Marketing function will be something you yearn for or already have experience in overseeing.

The role of the Vice President is to lead the Consumer Marketing function for AutoTrader.ca. This responsibility includes:
Brand Marketing, PR, Social Media, podcast
Creative production including agency management
Paid B2C Advertising (TV, OOH, digital video, display, paid search, app install) combination of agency and in-house
Retention including email and remarketing
SEO & editorial
Competitive Intelligence and Consumer Research

Leading a team of 8, the VP will be responsible for growing the consumer audience of AutoTrader.ca with high quality auto intenders, and optimizing various media channels for conversion into value for our dealer and OEM partners. Key metrics for which the VP is accountable:
Brand metrics such as awareness and consideration
Unique users, visits, VDPs and leads
Competitive performance such as market share
Team satisfaction and sentiment scores

What you'll do...
Paid Consumer Advertising
Brand Marketing & Brand strategy
SEO, email marketing, other site-enabled technology driven marketing
Research & competitive intelligence
Agency & vendor management
Providing marketing expertise & leadership to other areas of the business eg. Product, Sales

Must have experience...
Minimum 10 years related experience.
Experience of leading a consumer marketing function for a notable brand is essential.
Must have experience of working with large budgets $10M+
Experience with most of the elements of responsibility is essential ie brand, paid, SEO.
Experience leading teams of people (department numbers at least 10 people)
Post-graduate marketing qualifications is an advantage
Bilingual (French and English) is a bonus but not essential
Very strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Stakeholder management skills, ability to manage expectations
Highly influential and impactful individual who can navigate organizations and structures intelligently
Hybrid: office and remote (WFH)
