Job Description

Reporting to the SVP, CFO of the Health Care Delivery Segment (HCD), Vice President, FP&A - HCD Lead will lead and develop a team of finance colleagues to improve partnership with the business, drive higher quality analysis and provide more actionable insights to aid in strategic and operational decision making, better alignment of priorities, milestones and measurements across Health Care Delivery, and overall speed of execution.

This role is an opportunity to join a high-growth asset in HCD that is a strategically important value driver for CVS over the next several years and help this business achieve its potential. The VP, HCD FP&A Lead will lead all major end-to-end planning, reporting, and capital investment processes across the HCD segment.

Major Responsibilities
  • Lead a team structured into 2 pillars: Planning, Reporting, and Capital Investment & Strategic Projects.
  • Set and champion the talent agenda for the HCD Consolidation team, defining and building needed talent capabilities (e.g., technical savviness, storytelling, business partnership)
  • Drive the modernization of the FP&A HCD team to include automation, visualization, and other advanced FP&A functional capabilities
  • Apply expertise across FP&A functions within the business unit, combining theory, past practical experience, and knowledge of business practices
  • Collaborate across departments or functions, leveraging best practices to improve HCD's Planning, Reporting, or Capital Investment processes or capabilities
  • Champion transformative strategic projects across the organization, leveraging change management capabilities to drive engagement and adoption of new tools, processes, or talent capabilities
  • Proactively engage with the external environment for new knowledge or leading practices that may be shared with the HCD Finance organization or broader CVS Health organization
  • Utilize key tools and applications required to effectively and efficiently lead the HCD Financial Planning and Analysis team, e.g. Hyperion, SAP
  • Lead strategic and transformative programs to advance FP&A capabilities, organizational design and process improvement in FP&A processes
  • Develop and deliver executive level presentations, including strong logical structuring, storyboarding, and presentation delivery.


Required Qualifications
  • 15+ years of Finance experience
  • 5+ years of people leader experience
  • Healthcare industry experience - Provider or Value Based Care
  • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting)
  • Adept at business intelligence
  • Adept at collaboration and teamwork
  • Mastery of problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others)
  • Remote will require regular travel to Hartford office
  • Travel - 25%

The typical pay range for this role is:

$230,000.00 - $330,000.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
