VP, Microbiome Innovation - Kennesaw, GA or Valencia, Spain

Job Summary: The Vice President, Microbiome Innovation is responsible for driving the global microbiome strategy, managing the Health & Wellness portfolio P&L, and leading innovation within the microbiome industry. This role requires a strategic leader who can partner effectively with Research & Development, as well as Creation Design & Development, to deliver innovative solutions that align with business objectives. This role reports directly to the President, Health & Wellness and is part of the Global Health & Wellness Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:
Global Microbiome Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive global microbiome strategy that aligns with the company's vision and goals.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to ensure the company remains at the forefront of microbiome innovation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate microbiome research and insights into product development processes.
Portfolio P&L Management:
    • Oversee the financial performance of the product platform portfolio, including revenue growth, profitability, and cost management.
    • Develop and manage the budget for the product platform, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve business objectives.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed to meet financial targets.
Innovation Leadership:
    • Lead the innovation agenda for the product platform, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement.
    • Identify and evaluate new product opportunities, leveraging internal and external resources to drive innovation.
    • Collaborate with research and development teams to ensure the successful translation of innovative concepts into market-ready products.
Customer-Centric Development:
    • Partner with creation design & development teams to understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, acting as a trusted advisor and innovation partner.
    • Ensure customer feedback is integrated into the product development process to enhance product offerings and drive customer satisfaction.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the President, Health & Wellness and other senior leaders to align product platform initiatives with overall business strategy.
    • Collaborate with marketing, sales, supply chain, and other functional teams to ensure successful product launches and market adoption.
    • Provide leadership and mentorship to direct reports and cross-functional team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in microbiology, biotechnology, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in a senior leadership role within the biotechnology or life sciences industry, with a focus on microbiome innovation.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L for a product portfolio.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex business challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaboration across diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
  • Strong customer focus and experience working directly with clients to develop customized solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD in microbiology, biotechnology, or related field.
  • Experience in global product strategy and commercialization.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to microbiome products.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
