Description:

The Vice President, National Sales and Account Management, manages the national sales and national account management teams who sell to and service in a pre-determined market which will primarily include workers' compensation and casualty insurance companies, but may include other market opportunities as agreed upon. The role will be responsible for helping to set the direction and standards for sales and account management nationally. This position will serve as a representative in the market for brokers, clients and a resource to the internal teams from a sales, account management and service delivery perspective. The candidate is expected to be engaged in the development, expansion, analysis and delivery of innovative solutions to the market and internally. The role supports developing new client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and growing existing customer relationships. This position directly affects the preservation and expansion of CorVel's customer base.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The ability to develop an overall sales plan for the sales team as well as individual prospect/client sales strategies, and deliberately work that plan to be successful, including documentation of activity and progress in Salesforce
  • Develop sales goals aligned with overall financial and budgetary goals set corporately
  • Schedules Weekly Calls with direct reports and organizes Monthly sales strategy calls with appropriate teams
  • Able to build a high trust relationship with key market professionals including but not limited to brokers, carriers, employers and other business partners. Serves as the face or representative of the organization and a market expert in the industry
  • Completion of all administrative requirements related to managing the team professionals which includes annual review and updates to the commission plan, sales strategy, account management roles and responsibilities and other related areas
  • Works closely with the marketing team to update RFP responses, marketing materials and presentations collateral
  • Works closely with the analytics team on pricing, analytics and reporting needs. trends and client reports
  • Works closely with products and BOT to effectively communicate innovations and sales opportunities
  • Represents CorVel professionally and effectively to the marketplace, through individual calls and meetings, as well as trade shows
  • Naturally curious, interested in learning and able to continue to learn about products, services, market trends, etc
  • Someone who is able to communicate clearly internally to our staff as to our customers' needs, and assist in prioritizing our product and project development pathway

  • Able to take a consultative approach to sales to fully understand a client's needs, and CorVel's suite of services
  • Collaborative in working through challenges and barriers to sales success
  • Become an SME of CorVel's services and offerings
  • Understands the market, including key competitors and how and why we are a better fit for our clients or potential clients
  • Ability to understand data and trends, and how to leverage those data/trends for cross-selling opportunities
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to customer service
  • Self-starter and able to organize your time and schedule effectively, in order to meet individual goals, and contribute to the broader organizational goals
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively and respectfully with the broader CorVel team, including management, product management, executives and IT staff, as well as lead those teams through a complex sales process
  • Ability to collaborate with leaders, sales executive and account managers who may need assistance in managing a complex sales process

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business or sales and marketing preferred
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry, managed care or related field is helpful
  • Proven track record in sales and account management leadership

PAY RANGE:

CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

Pay Range: $79,704 - $132,692
