Base Salary Pay Range is $120k to $150k with an OTE of $250-$350k

The Vice President of Business Development is a key member of the MedZed Business Development team directly responsible for growing revenue and market share by qualifying, managing, and closing sales. A successful Vice President of Business Development will be an entrepreneurial sales executive who is comfortable working in a fast-paced high growth environment, and passionate about MedZeds mission to change healthcare.

PRINCIPAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development and Sales
  • Has lead responsibility for selling MedZeds solutions and programs to new and existing clients.
  • Engages in prospecting to develop relationships with target clients and build a pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Develops in-depth knowledge of prospective clients strategic goals, organizational structures, and business needs. Applies that knowledge to provide thought leadership and recommendations on MedZeds offerings.
  • Accountable for managing the sales process end-to-end, coordinating as needed with Client Success, Product Management, and the respective LOB service delivery teams. This includes client presentations, data gathering, proposal development and delivery, and smooth handoff of won business to the LOB service delivery teams.
  • Develops and maintains accurate, up to date pipeline reports and forecasts in the Salesforce CRM system.
  • Contributes to go-to-market strategy development.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 3 + years of progressive experience with consultative solution selling into health plans. Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, and Managed Care plans are strong pluses.
  • Results-driven and self-directed with a strong sense of work ownership.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to think strategically and creatively about how MedZeds offerings create value for our clients.
  • Able to learn and stay abreast of regulations and market trends directly relevant to MedZeds offerings.
  • Able to thrive in a highly dynamic entrepreneurial environment subject to changes in priorities, ambiguity, and limited direction.
