We are looking for a VP of Business Development to join our amazing team!

Responsibilities:

  • Gather comprehensive cost information concerning entitlements, impact, and permitting fees.
  • Review and comment on due diligence materials, including Phase I environmental reports, geotechnical reports, title, survey, etc.
  • Compile information from municipal staff, GCs, civil engineers, and architects concerning processes and durations for project entitlements and permitting.
  • Populate cost, unit mix and rent data for the short form pro forma. Provide cost and schedule input for project pro forma.
  • Develops proformas and realistic budgets with costs, unit mix, and rent data
  • Partners with the legal team to negotiate and finalize contracts with project consultants
  • Manage the design specs, ensuring alignment with the Experience Senior Living brand, contributing ideas from the operations team, user experience and land usage.
  • Create architect and general contractors'5+, and engineering RFP
  • Participates in the selection of GC, Architecture firms, and other service providers
  • Work with local government and other related parties to obtain necessary project permits and entitlements for development requirements, master developer and local jurisdictions design review process
  • Architectural and design management including site design, building design, and budgeting process. Create project milestone schedules and ensure that all team members meet schedule requirements.
  • Ensure budget, schedule, and program expectation are clearly communicated and executed across various team members and stakeholders
  • Review master infrastructure agreements to understand budget and schedule implications
  • Manages the hand-off from pre-development phase to the Construction team member responsible for managing budget and schedule during construction phase.
  • Supports the delivery of the agreed upon project on time, within budget and to the quality and expectation of the brand.
  • Create and implement key processes/best practices to help achieve the firm's objectives


Skills And Abilities:

  • Exceptional communicator, strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage relationships with all Stakeholders, including but not limited to architects, general contractors, owners, and capitol partners
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical ability
  • Ability to think big picture to ensure all aspects of a project are considered and executed
  • Organized, detail oriented, capable of managing large scale projects
  • Ability to negotiate to ensure the best financial outcome for the project
  • Strong sense of design specifically within the senior living/multi-family space
  • Proficiency with typical Microsoft tools, AIA, Monday.com, DocuSign, and other company software partners


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Business, Finance, or related field, Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working in Real Estate
  • 5+ years of experience in Construction Project Management
  • 1+ years of experience in Senior Living
