Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Vision & Leadership: Define and communicate a unified technical vision, ensuring alignment with the company's overarching product and business strategies.
- Complex Project Execution: Lead critical initiatives across multiple engineering teams, managing technical decision-making, resource allocation, and project timelines.
- Hands-On Leadership: Participate actively in architecture design, code reviews, and problem-solving to ensure high technical standards and quality across projects.
- Collaborative Approach: Partner with Product, Design, and Operations teams to align engineering efforts with business goals, translating needs into actionable engineering roadmaps.
- Team Growth & Guidance: Build and nurture a robust engineering team, providing mentorship, fostering best practices in software development, and promoting agile methodologies.
- Platform & Architecture Oversight: Direct the design of technical infrastructure and architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and data privacy.
- Open Source Contribution: Cultivate a culture of transparency, open-source contributions, and knowledge-sharing within and outside the organization.
- External Technical Advocacy: Represent the company externally by sharing technical insights, contributing to community documentation, and engaging with the broader developer ecosystem.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Over 8 years in software development, with at least 3 years in senior leadership roles (VP or equivalent).
- Technical Leadership: Expertise in reviewing code, making architecture decisions, and mentoring technical teams.
- Breadth of Knowledge: Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Kubernetes), backend frameworks (Go, Rust, etc.), and front-end/mobile technologies (React Native, etc.).
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate complex business goals into clear, actionable engineering plans.
- Team Development: Proven ability to scale and lead high-performing engineering teams.
- Effective Communication: Strong ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Passion for Innovation: A strong interest in how decentralized technologies and IoT are transforming industries, particularly in mobility and automotive data.
Preferred Skills:
- Web3 & Blockchain: Experience with smart contracts, decentralized applications, or token-based ecosystems.
- Mobility & IoT Experience: Familiarity with connected devices, vehicle data, and sensor technologies.
- Open Source Leadership: A track record of contributing to or leading open-source projects and communities.
