Role:

Oversees Finance and Business Intelligence functions and is a member of the Senior Leadership Team of Gulf Winds Credit Union (GWCU). Compiles and analyzes the financial performance of GWCU relative to budget and historical benchmarks. Through careful analysis, this position provides recommendations to management for achieving strategic objectives and has investment authority. The position leads the Finance Department, which produces or is consulted in material financial analysis, develops additional reports proactively by monitoring the need for further insight, creates applicable reports, and presents insights to executive and senior management for organizational action. Plans directs and maintains GWCU Asset Liability Management (ALM) reporting, liquidity programs, forecasting, budgeting, and organizational profitability. Interfaces with auditors and regulators.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Manages the Financial Information System to provide valuable/actionable financial data. Works with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and leadership teams to ensure the Credit Union makes good decisions based on the best analysis available at the time and builds the team internally to make decisions aligned with the values, vision, and mission of GWCU.

Oversees the management and maintenance of the Credit Union's annual budget, ALM Interest Rate Risk (IRR) models, and profitability. Manages creation and updates of ALM reports with an emphasis on historical trends and projections; manages the preparation of periodic reports for ALCO, including scenario analysis and peer analysis; ensures the integrity of ALM model's database and assumptions; maintains ALM program to meet policy requirements in a timely manner.

Maintains an effective Liquidity Program, including liquidity on hand, secondary (short-term) sources, and contingent sources as defined by policy; reports operational liquidity.

Review and evaluate investment opportunities for suitability to Credit Unions' portfolios and have investment authority to make those changes as approved by the Chief Financial Officer.

Analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and provides analysis of the information presented. Reports can include liquidity, investment, delinquency, productions, financials, consolidation, and regulatory reports.

Creates and prepares financial analyses and models to support financial decisions, provides insight into the financial condition, and helps to prepare budgets and forecasts for the Credit Union.

Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

1. Annual budget is created within expected timelines with a professional level of accuracy.
2. ALCO reports are provided on time with minimal changes.
3. Profitability models are maintained accurately and function with integrity; reports are produced on a timely
basis with up-to-date information.
4. ALM models are controlled accurately, and analyses are communicated within the following quarter.
5. Performance of the Investment Portfolio and the detailed reporting necessary to make sound decisions.
6. Analyses performed in the areas of product development and other projects are accurate, timely, and
presented in an organized manner.
7. Internal procedures are documented accurately.
8. Evaluation of investment opportunities is sound and presented clearly and in a timely manner.
9. Generation of a positive relationship with external/internal auditors and examiners in the spirit of bettering
the Credit Union for the benefit of the members.
10. Complies with all applicable rules, regulations, and policies.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in financial institutions' accounting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Working knowledge of GAAP and NCUA regulations and reporting is required. Experience with auditors and/or examiners is required. Experience with Axiom financial suite preferred.

Education: Minimum of bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics; minimum of 5 years similar or related ALM experience. Master's degree preferred.

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is vital at this level. Outside contacts become important, fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Other Skills: Leadership skills; In-depth knowledge of the structure of the credit union's balance sheet and income statements; Knowledge of asset-liability management; intermediate computer skills including spreadsheet creation, word processing, database management, and other financial computer applications; ability to create and deliver financial presentations; working knowledge of GAAP; ability to implement and maintain computerized general accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and related accounting and record-keeping systems; ability to perform financial analyses.

Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English clearly.

Physical Requirements: This role requires sitting at a computer for most of the day. This role would also require the ability to file files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. Work Environment: The position is based in-office in our Pensacola, Florida market, operates primarily in an office setting, and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones.

This position requires consistent presence in the office to collaborate with team members and fulfill job responsibilities effectively. It requires the ability to actively participate in conference calls and meetings with other Credit Union team members and vendors. The normal expected work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30a.m. to 5:00p.m. Afterhours work or travel required to meet project deadlines or attend conferences, seminars, or client meetings.
