Rock Dental Brands is on an exciting journey of growth and expansion, and we are looking for a strategic leader to join our Finance team. The VP of FP&A is a unique opportunity for a driven and strategic finance executive. This role will provide significant Executive presence and an opportunity to get exposure to one of the top Private Equity firms in the Healthcare Industry. The person will play a critical role in driving our financial performance and helping us achieve our growth goals. This is a high-impact, executive-level position that will work closely with the CFO, CEO, Board and other senior leaders to provide meaningful data and actionable insights to guide business decisions.

Role Overview:
The VP of FP&A will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and reporting. This role will partner with executive leadership to optimize the company's financial performance, guide strategic decision-making, and support the company's ongoing growth initiatives. As a key member of the finance leadership team, the VP of FP&A will contribute significantly to the development and execution of the company's long-term financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Forecasting & Planning:
    • Lead the development and maintenance of yearly, quarterly and monthly financial budgeting and forecasting, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and debt.
    • Work closely with operational and functional leaders to support strategic planning, annual budgeting, and forecasting efforts.
  • Financial Performance Analysis:
    • Own financial reporting packages and presentations for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
    • Lead monthly variance analysis, comparing actual results to budget and prior year to ensure alignment with growth goals.
  • Strategic Financial Insights:
    • Drive development and maintenance of KPIs for the value creation plan for the company
    • Provide financial analyses and actionable recommendations that drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and operational efficiencies.
    • Develop and present financial models for potential investments in new practices, including capital expenditures and expected ROI.
  • M&A Support:
    • Support the company's M&A strategy by assisting in the planning, tracking, and reporting of synergies in collaboration with the M&A team.
    • Track and analyze the performance of acquired clinics against projections and provide insights to senior management.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team capable of driving financial excellence across the business.
    • Work cross functionally with BI, Accounting, Revenue Cycle Management and other functional areas on various projects
    • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the FP&A team.
  • Data Integrity & Reporting:
    • Ensure the integrity of financial data and systems to support accurate forecasting and reporting.
    • Support the development and implementation of approval processes around growth investments, de novos, and M&A activities.
  • Ad Hoc Projects & Executive Support:
    • Take on ad hoc analytical projects for the CFO and other executives that provide valuable insights and support strategic decisions.
    • Lead and support other financial initiatives such as debt and equity financings, and strategic transactions.


Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Economics, or related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or related fields.
    • At least 5-7 years of leadership or managerial experience, having led FP&A teams or worked closely with senior executives and other departments.
    • Strong background in 3-statement financial modeling, budgeting, reporting, and Excel skills.
    • Experience with financial systems, BI software, and advanced financial reporting tools.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Proven track record of managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
    • Strong cross-functional collaborator with the ability to work effectively with senior executives and operational leaders.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
    • Strong business acumen and the curiosity to learn and understand key growth drivers.
    • Ability to maintain composure and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
    • Comfortable engaging with executive teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Prior experience in a fast-growing or start-up environment is strongly preferred.
