Job Title: Vice President of Global Sales Department: Sales
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer Location: Baltimore, MD
Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and goal-driven Vice President of Sales. This person will be responsible
for the sales strategy and performance across all channels, including Ecommerce, Mass, Club, and
Outdoor divisions, as well as distribution channels for the professional customer markets. The VP of
Sales will focus on driving sales growth, strategy planning and organizational development to scale
and grow this business and infrastructure.
Priority will be given to local candidates in the Washington DC-Baltimore MD area and surrounding Northeast states. However, we are open to discussion with Mid-West/West Coast candidates that are willing to relocate to the Washington DC-Baltimore area.
What You'll Be Doing - The Essentials
Lead sell-in and sell-through of new and existing products to achieve profitable growth for the
Amazon channel, own P&L for Amazon including analysis of promotional opportunities and
new product launches.
Design and deliver a robust sales strategy for existing and prospective channels, including
both specialty and mass customers, and ecommerce that supports profitable growth and longterm company objectives.
Establish strong relationships with strategic customers including joint business planning,
driving successful in-store tests to expand the business, lead line reviews and coordinate
successful new product launches.
Work closely with our Marketing team to develop and implement key marketing initiatives
and deliver excellence on-shelf to drive increased consumer awareness and conversion.
Oversee performance of external partners, including rep groups and distributors, by
developing KPIs and benchmarks to define success. Build a strategy to ensure strong
partnership with our most strategic customers and identify opportunities where we can
improve.
Build and maintain accurate sales and inventory forecasts, including promotional planning.
Understand customer business drivers, initiatives, challenges, and industry trends and
proactively find ways for LifeStraw to deliver creative solutions.
Build strong relationships and collaboration with the broader Sales team as well as Customer
Service, Supply Chain, Brand Marketing, and Finance to drive healthy long-term sales growth.
Effectively trains and develops external sales teams, including sales reps, to reflect high
expectations of performance and quality of work.
Onboarding and contract negotiations for customers and partners which may include but is
not limited to; territory assignment, product portfolio, wholesale pricing,
commissions/allowances, marketing plans and sale targets.
Own the customer experience at retail and ensure best-in-class shelf presence, associate
training, product assortment, and shopper education.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to build an effective Trade Show & Event strategy
to maximize efficiency while increasing partner engagement and brand awareness.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the
team and across the organization.

What We're Looking For
Hands-on experience leading sales across multiple channels, including Mass, Club,
Ecommerce, and Specialty customers. Deep experience building a brand with Mass and Club
retailers (ex: Target, Costco, Bed Bath & Beyond) highly preferred.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including comfort analyzing large volumes of data in
Excel and producing high quality deliverables for executive leadership and key clients.
Must be willing to pitch in and execute across all stages of the sales process when needed,
from prospecting new accounts to ensuring accurate invoicing, and everything in between.
Experience managing external partners including account reps and distributors, proven track
record of developing KPIs and performance benchmarks to measure success and optimize
balance of internal vs. external account management.
Highly analytical and comfortable dealing with large amounts of data. Strong Excel skills with a
high personal quality bar and emphasis on accuracy.

Experience and Education Profile
College degree (BA or BS) or equivalent experience
7-10+ years of related sales experience required; must have deep experience owning National
Accounts and building and delivering on multi-year business plans
At least 5 years of team/division leadership experience, including P&L ownership
Seasoned people manager with experience leading both internal and external teams
Deep knowledge of the CPG market, including trends, innovation, and customer needs
Proficiency with Microsoft Office required NetSuite experience a plus
Effective negotiation, conflict resolution and creative problem-solving skills
High degree of social confidence and presentation skills
Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally 30-40% of the time
