Our General Thermodynamics business is growing, and the VP of Sales will be challenged to ensure that sales revenues meet and exceed targets, resulting in taking API Heat Transfer to a whole new level!

The successful VP of Sales effectively oversees all facets of sales operations. Responsible for managing existing and developing new strategic US accounts, resulting in the sales growth of API cooling modules. This individual is responsible for developing and growing new and existing accounts and will be responsible for maintaining and increasing revenue levels within targeted accounts. The role collaborates with the customer and API engineering, customer service, operations and quality. Primary focus will be on developing new opportunities specifically in OEM platform design utilizing API's Franklin facility portfolio which includes tube/header, T-Bar, microchannel and copper/brass heat exchanger technologies.

VP of Sales Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and execute business strategy to penetrate identified markets, including target accounts in the Americas and global markets.
  • Promote strong relationships with key stake holders and decision makers both internally and externally.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with customer and API engineering to develop new cooling system solutions for customer platforms.
  • Prepare and submit new customer cooling modules quotes by working with Engineering, Purchasing and Operations.
  • Assemble and communicate rolling 12-month Order Forecast for API aluminum CAB furnace products.
  • Deliver market intelligence from the marketplace to the factory, identifying product gaps, general economic market conditions, monitoring the competition's pricing, products, delivery issues, branding efforts, etc.
  • Keep the important details up to date in CRM!
  • Support the sales channel through ongoing training on products, applications, and target markets.
  • Build and nurture professional networks, attend market events and, trade shows, participate in professional industry organizations.
  • Attend industry key market exhibitions and participate in educational seminars, maintain personal networks, and participate in professional organizations.

The best candidates will possess these qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of engine cooling system sales, engineering or management experience.
  • Proven track record of profitable sales growth at strong gross margins!
  • Strong technical comprehension of engine cooling/thermal management applications and/or principles of heat transfer.
  • Superb communication, client relationship management, negotiation, and sales capabilities are a must!
  • Domestic travel is a part of this gig, so those that can commit to 50% are highly desired.
