The right candidate will join our Des Moines, IA office on a hybrid schedule.

What we're looking for:

SHAZAM is looking for a VP, Risk Management to join our governance leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals responsible for coordinating and executing the risk management program including: risk assessments, third party risk management, business continuity, insurance program, validation of compliance with internal policies, and supervising the full lifecycle of cryptographic key management activities.

What you'll do:

• Lead the tactical activities of the risk management department in the identification and assessment of risk, the evaluation of proposed and implemented mitigation strategies, and the measurement and communication of the effectiveness of those strategies.
• Lead the coordination, execution, and communication of internal compliance validation efforts, including regular user access reviews and policy adherence reviews.
• Maintain and monitor a comprehensive risk register encompassing known risks across the enterprise, and regularly report on outstanding risk issues.
• Develop, maintain, and manage a professional staff with expertise in information technology, information security, and risk management best practices.
• Manage and ensure compliance of the encryption key management program, including verification of operational processes and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Provide significant input into the iterative development of the enterprise risk management program and policy directives.

What you need:

• 5+ years experience in risk management.
• Strong management & leadership experience.
• Ability to build and maintain a team of high achievers and to motivate a team to deliver high quality work under pressure.
• Ability to independently apply critical thinking and decisive action to solve complex or ambiguous challenges.
• Understanding of risk management best practices and regulatory expectations.
