The VP Sales has direct responsibility for the provision of leadership, support, and direction of all aspects of sales operations to maximize sales efficiency, to realize optimum profits and growth compatible with the best long and short-term interests of shareholders, employees, sales associates, and vendors.

The VP Sales has direct responsibility for the provision of leadership, support, and direction of all aspects of sales operations to maximize sales efficiency, to realize optimum profits and growth compatible with the best long and short-term interests of shareholders, employees, sales associates, and vendors.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participates and assists in the implementation of the short and long-range strategies and goals of the sales partners, Branch, and the Company.
- Oversees and supervises the branch with the Branch Manager & Service Manager.
- Grow top-line revenue of the branch. Keep communications open with customers, sales partners, branch operations personal & service technicians.
- Communicates strategies and inspires others in the branch to contribute to the future vision and growth of the business.
- Meets with the branch sales partners regularly to establish and monitor sales objectives related to their specific Gross Profit goals, A/R, Inventory, customer visits, Branch employees.
- Evaluates and develops new and established sales partners to maintain the breadth, depth, and continuity of sales talent sufficient to attain established Company objectives.
- Works with corporate officers and managers to provide optimal support for the development of key areas for the Branch.
- Join local industry associations, attend, and participate in meetings related to Company events or needs.
What it takes to do this job:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years' relevant work experience.
- 3+ years' experience in a sales leadership role.
- Driven strong revenue growth from product launch to an established market position in high-value diagnostics.
- Experience developing all aspects of a commercial organization to include sales force sizing, geographical deployment strategies, commission, and long-term incentive plan development.
- Ability to look beyond the current state to plan strategies that take into consideration the long-term business objectives.
- Superior leadership skills with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of staff management practices and processes and the ability to establish accountabilities and expectations and manage performance to achieve results.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as the ability to handle complex situations and demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving.
- Strong business acumen, negotiation, and mediation skills, as well as a demonstrated attention to detail and a focus on achieving quality outcomes. Ability to build/foster relationships.
- A high level of integrity, interpersonal skills, and a professional executive presence for effectively interacting with and influencing others, internal and external to the company, as well as for facilitating meetings and conducting public speaking/presentations.
- Ability to travel locally and nationally, on occasion
