Job Overview
Reporting to the VP/SMD Head of Data & Front Office Technology, the VP/D Lead Technology Program Manager provides dedicated general management to a technology group that is leading the consumer lending industry with distinctive software and data innovation. This role is a key enabler to drive commercial accountability and execution excellence by overseeing budgets, staff plans, roadmaps, and delivery programs. This role also serves as a liaison to business and digital partners for strategy, roadmap, finance, and staffing.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and strong abilities to lead, manage, and collaborate across a team of teams. The role requires strategic thinking and disciplined execution to ensure local alignment with department objectives while leading efforts that drive team member engagement and operational excellence outcomes.

Technology Required:
- Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a senior technology leader in Financial Services or other heavily regulated industry.
- 10+ years of experience and proficiency organizing and managing multiple technology execution programs in dynamic, geographically distributed environments.
- 10+ years of experience selecting and negotiating 3rd party products and services.
- 10+ years of experience defining compelling job descriptions, attracting, and hiring industry-leading talent, both in employee and contractor roles.
- 5+ years of experience leading on-prem to cloud-based technology organization transformation.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Technology program management using iterative and incremental delivery methodologies (e.g., SCRUM)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to interact effectively with senior leadership and create and deliver strategic presentations and guidance to executives.
- Knowledge of technology and management principles involved in planning, organizational change management, resource allocation modeling, leadership techniques, and coordination of people.
- Data analysis, metric tracking, and dashboard/reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
- Budget and expense management and forecasting.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
Budget Coordination & Management
- Oversee and support collaboration with Digital, Credit & Pricing, Data Science, Analytics, and Technology partners to shape, develop, and manage the group's budgets, investments, roadmaps, and staffing plans with ongoing updates and collaboration with our Finance and HR business partners.
- Monitor expenditures and work with senior leadership and their staffs to actively manage group expenditures and ensure alignment with budget forecasts.
Staff Planning
- Manage talent acquisition for the group; work with leaders to recruit and develop bar-raising software and data engineers. Help foster, inspire, and cultivate a high-performance engineering organization.
- Manage the group's staff plan to align capacity to OKRs and drive continuous role-click optimizations.
Execution Oversight
- Accountable for the performance and execution of multiple marquee technology delivery programs.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and drive objectives and key results (OKRs) for the group.
- Curate digital data visualizations that show back group performance and spend.
Communication & Engagement
- Oversee cross-functional routines that ensure effective communication, alignment on goals, and to exchange insights that inform execution plans and activities.
- Serve as an aggregation point for departmental information needed to develop executive presentations, conduct broader analysis, and develop other communications or engagement materials.
- Champions agile methodologies, enabling iterative development, frequent feedback, and responsiveness to changing requirements.
Process Efficiency & Consistency
- Assist in developing standards for management practices that can be implemented consistently across the group and collaborate with other leaders to apply globally.
- Assist in the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at performance improvement, expense management, and technology TCO optimization.
- Ensure adherence to compliance standards and organizational policies in all aspects of operations.
