Nalco Water, an Ecolab company, is looking for a Field technician - Wastewater Operator to join our industry leading Abednego Environmental Services LLC team. Abednego Environmental, LLC was developed as a turn-key service provider focused on providing operational and management expertise for in-plant water, air and technical process systems. Typical systems include Wastewater Treatment, RO/DI Systems, Phosphate / E-Coat Tendering, Paint Kitchen Management, Data Collection, Booth Water Systems, Heating & Cooling Systems, etc. Typical service offerings can include operational labor, required chemistries, testing & analysis, reporting & trend analysis, consumables, maintenance, etc.
Abednego / Nalco support over 150 Automotive Assembly plants globally. We have a global organizational structure to simplify communication and support the implementation of best practices to drive quality production, cost savings, and safe manufacturing.

- Responsible for following operational, and maintenance requirements
- Daily sampling requirements and jar testing.
- Daily calibration of meters to maintain proper QA & QC.
- Daily end-of-shift reporting to Site Utility Manager and Environmental Engineer for work performed that day.
- Monthly and quarterly sampling requirements.
- Meeting DMR, CMR, and BMR requirements.
- Daily chemical inventory.
- Operate, maintain, and repair the Laboratory Atomic Absorption MASS
- Properly coordinate with other contractors and major repair to work tanks, pumps and operational disruptions.
- Properly involve corporate leadership when required to analyze and treat difficult tanks to always maintain compliance.
- Meet with customer for Paint Shop dump requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ohio EPA Class 2 Wastewater Treatment License
- History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Prior experience with Chemistry and analytical/mechanical troubleshooting
- Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role
- 5-7 years working in an industrial or municipal wastewater treatment plant.
- Prior experience performing basic process and maintenance troubleshooting
- Strong mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical & instrumentation aptitude.
- Working knowledge of wastewater treatment systems and related processes
- Experience working with Excel
- Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include
- May wear a respirator under certain conditions
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam
