As a Waste Water/Ultra Pure Water (WW/UPW) Project Engineer in the semiconductor industry, you will support the construction manager and superintendent in tasks related to the implementation and maintenance of WW and UPW systems. This role involves project scheduling, data preparation, conflict resolution, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Your expertise in VDC methodologies and ability to navigate 3D modeling software will be crucial for project success.
Responsibilities:

  • Construction Support: Assist the construction manager and superintendent in various tasks related to WW and UPW systems, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Data Preparation: Gather necessary data and prepare monthly Owner Pay Applications, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Conflict Resolution: Identify and resolve interface conflicts with subcontractors to maintain project continuity and prevent delays.
  • Drawing and Specification Interpretation: Assist field supervisors in interpreting drawings, specifications, IRs/RFIs, and questions for/from the Architect/Engineer.
  • Change Order Management: Process and estimate Change Orders to manage project scope and budget effectively.
  • Project Scheduling: Assist in developing and updating the project schedule, with a focus on WW and UPW systems.
  • Production Analysis: Conduct production analysis studies to optimize efficiency and performance in WW and UPW systems.
  • Safety Compliance: Participate in jobsite safety meetings and weekly safety audits, emphasizing compliance with safety standards.
  • Inspection Participation: Facilitate and/or participate in Preparatory Meetings, Initial Inspections, Follow-up Inspections, etc., ensuring thorough inspection processes.
  • VDC Knowledge: Possess working knowledge of the VDC Scope of Work, VDC Execution Plan, and VDC deliverables.
  • VDC Strategy Alignment: Align VDC strategies with project planning related to field operations, including schedule coordination, model coordination for submittals, constructability review, installation validation, BIM to Field Layout, and Field Layout to BIM.
  • 3D Modeling Software Proficiency: Ability to review and navigate within the current 3D model viewing and scheduling software.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the VDC team to ensure integrated and efficient project execution.


Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in VDC methodologies and 3D modeling software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
  • 2-4 years of construction experience with specific experience in WW/UPW systems.


Education / Licenses / Certifications
  • Mechanical or process engineering degree preferred.
