Position Description

As an organization of excellence, we're looking for just the right person to join the Marana team. We're seeking an innovative, and visionary leader to serve as the next Water Director. This unique opportunity is ideal for an individual who is driven to make a difference. The salary range is $131,327 to $203,556. This position may provide relocation assistance up to $5,000.

Examples of Duties

This is a challenging and rewarding career opportunity for an experienced water leader with a proven track record of deploying innovative water solutions and achieving results. The Water Director is a key member of the Town's executive leadership team that ensures alignment of public utility goals and vision with our strategic plan. This position is responsible for the plan, design, construction, operation and management of water and wastewater systems. You'll play a vital role in working with Town leadership to build upon a reputation for providing high performance outcomes and excellent customer service to the organization and community.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, business, public administration, or related field.
  • Seven or more years of progressive leadership experience managing mid or large size water and/or wastewater groups with knowledge of local government operations.
  • Valid Arizona driver license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
  • The minimum qualifications must be met as written above.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A graduate degree in civil engineering, business, public administration, or related field.

REVIEW PROCESS
This position is open until filled. A first review of applications will be conducted on July 25, 2024, and preliminary web interviews will be scheduled shortly after with the most ideal candidates.
