Job Title: Wealth Strategist

Reports To: Managing Director, Sales, and Strategy

SUMMARY

Wealth Strategist is responsible for developing comprehensive wealth plans and providing advice and guidance on financial topics to high-net-worth (HNW) clients. This position will provide HNW clients with personalized advice and strategies to help them achieve their financial objectives. Additionally, this position supports Private Bankers and other team members on Investment Management & Trust sales opportunities and client relationship review meetings.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Undergraduate degree in business related field or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred degree or designations, JD, or CPA.
  • Required certification, CFP.
  • Five plus years of financial planning experience.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial markets, investments, estate and tax laws, and retirement plans.
  • Experience with various financial planning software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team structure.
  • Good interpersonal skills to represent the bank positively in dealing with clients.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Conduct discovery meetings with clients to discuss financial goals and objectives and complete a thorough financial assessment to understand clients' income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and risk tolerance.
  • Complete and deliver a comprehensive wealth plan based on clients' goals and financial situation.
  • Advise on the following areas: investment, retirement, estate, tax, risk management, and business succession planning.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of clients' financial and personal information.
  • Collaborate with legal, tax, and other professionals to effectively develop a comprehensive wealth plan.
  • Ensure compliance with the relevant regulations, laws, and company's standards.
  • Collaborate with Wealth team members and other internal partners to enhance the client experience.
  • Continually build a network of internal and external sources to acquire new client relationships.
  • Stay informed on legal, tax, and regulatory changes affecting financial planning strategies.
  • Drive business results and acquire new assets, both from existing client base and new client acquisition.
  • Actively participate in community activities and events with purpose of visibility in the community and prospects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

UC Branch Office: Greenville, SC or Orlando, FL

POSITION TYPE

This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

TRAVEL

This position requires up to 25% travel.
