The Whiskey Sales Manager will lead all aspects of the commercial strategy in assigned market providing account sales support and market brand education of MH Whiskey brands.

Whiskey Brand Education & Presentation
  • Understand of whiskey brand strategy, marques, SKUs, programs - clear connectivity to the brand teams
  • Responsibility for the communication & presentation of whiskey brands internally, at the distributor, through trade
  • Participate in distributor business reviews; train and educate distributor teams, MH sales teams, and trade (e.g., account staff) on whiskey brands
  • Promote brand awareness for whiskey brands in market (in collaboration with brand ambassadors)

Whiskey Local Programming & Commercial Strategy
  • Implement whiskey commercial plans in partnership with market director and market sales team
  • Work with distributor teams in the street to support the execution of the commercial plans
  • Collaborate with market director, Spirits Field Marketing, Trade Dev at Distributor to develop of local whiskey programming and find opportunities for additional local whiskey programming
  • Interact with local teams and distributor leads to implement whiskey programming at the market level
  • Host all consumer facing events, whiskey tastings, Master Classes etc. in market

Account Selling Support
  • Work with the market director to establish whiskey Key Performance Indicators and sales priorities in the market
  • Responsible for direct interaction and coordination with local MH Market Teams, e.g., Market Director, Distributor Leads, Account Leads
  • Drive sales growth for a dedicated Target Account List (TAL). TAL led by market director to ensure whiskey opportunistic viewpoint of additional placements, depletions, & velocity growth
  • Accountable for placements, display goals, cocktail listings, depletions & velocity growth in TAL
  • Liaise with MH sales team and Distribution Sales Network to achieve whiskey Key Performance Indicator in TAL
  • Provide input to Commercial Enablement team on forecasting and operations on whiskey sales & inventory


Profil

Education

Bachelor's degree or relevant industry experience required.

Professional Experience

5+ years of professional experience in sales and marketing within wine and spirits

Practical/Technical Knowledge
  • Builds positive relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions
  • Deep and extensive knowledge of MHUSA Whiskey portfolio
  • Competitor/Whiskey market knowledge
  • Extensive understanding of consumer expectations within the geography
  • Ability to apply knowledge of key business issues to effective sales pitches & strategy-setting
  • Highly effective influencing and partnering skills, strong knowledge of sales techniques
  • Strong sales experience (bev alcohol preferred, not required)
  • Refined communication & presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical ability; optimally interprets & applies syndicated data insights
  • Able to work with all levels of the organization
