Must Haves (pulled from required skills):
- 8+ years of Program Management experience leading complex, enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
- 5+ years of hands-on WMS experience, including legacy modernization and/or new WMS rollouts.
- Proven experience leading cloud migration projects, preferably AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong familiarity with distribution center operations, warehouse workflows, and order fulfillment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage modernization of legacy systems built in older tech stacks (C, VB, Informix, etc.).
- Solid Agile/Scrum delivery experience; Scrum Master or SAFe certification preferred.
- Strong communication, cross-functional coordination, and executive stakeholder management skills.
JD:
- End-to-End Program Leadership
- Lead the full lifecycle of the WMS rewrite and modernization program, from inception through go-live and stabilization.
- Build and manage the integrated program plan across development, infrastructure, data, QA, and change management teams.
- Govern program scope, budget, risks, and multi-year delivery timelines.
- Oversee the implementation of warehouse management solutions, including configurations, integrations, and operational readiness.
- Drive solution design sessions to ensure alignment between system capabilities and strategic business objectives.
- Legacy Modernization & Cloud Transition
- Guide the decommissioning of legacy WMS platforms, ensuring uninterrupted DC operations during transition.
- Lead re-architecture efforts to migrate legacy functionality into a scalable, cloud-native WMS platform.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, cloud engineers, and platform leads to ensure alignment with overall cloud and infrastructure strategies.
- Ensure scalability and maintainability by validating that all enhancement requests align with the system's core design and roadmap.
- Agile Program Execution
- Set up and scale Agile delivery practices across distributed teams.
- Act as Scrum Master for critical workstreams as needed, facilitating Agile ceremonies and resolving blockers.
- Support backlog creation, sprint planning, cross-team dependency management, and release coordination.
- Actively participate in development and configuration cycles, ensuring delivery quality and alignment to business needs.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Business Alignment
- Serve as the primary liaison for IT, supply chain operations, DC managers, and external partners.
- Translate business processes into actionable software requirements (e.g., BRDs, user stories, and gap analyses). Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring continuous alignment and transparent communication of risks, dependencies, and progress.
- Lead and contribute to integration planning across systems and platforms to define technical and process requirements.
- Facilitate process improvement initiatives, using data insights to identify efficiency opportunities.
- Define and communicate return on investment (ROI), aligning technical solutions with operational value and business case expectations.
- Provide ongoing support for post-implementation stabilization and continuous improvement planning.
Required Experience & Skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi-site DC WMS deployments in the retail or automotive sector. PMP, PgMP, CSM, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent certifications.
- Knowledge of WMS vendors (e.g., Manhattan, Blue Yonder) or custom-built cloud-native WMS solutions.
- Familiarity with enterprise change management and training programs for large user bases.
- Ideal Candidate Profile
- Has successfully led cloud-based rewrites of legacy WMS systems supporting 24/7 warehouse operations.
- Understands the unique demands of distribution centers and high-availability environments.
- Can blend strategic vision with hands-on delivery leadership in Agile environments.
- Excels in cross-functional stakeholder alignment across business and technical domains.
