POSITION SUMMARY
The SAP WMS Manager will be responsible for leading the Configuration, DC pre-Implementation work, Implementation, and Functional Administration of the WM solution. Providing support and leadership to our end users, developers, business analysts and business process owners, including functions: Material Receiving, Warehouse Optimization, Shipping, Inventory Management, Reporting, Analytics, and the WMS Integration with SAP.
This position will team with DC Operations, as well as IT to implement the SAP WMS system throughout the entire PrimeSource network, using the best practices identified. The Manager will function as the center of best practices to ensure site level users do not stray from overall company accepted standards, as well as define and document all training material.

SME level knowledge of SAP WMS functionality
Manage Project Functions, Planning, and Tracking activities and progress
Lead system configuration, conversion planning, and implementation activities
Assist in developing system test scripts to be used during the Integration and Volume test activities
Lead end user training and system testing
Lead facility preparation, and help identify potential changes associated with the WMS installation
Test programs delivered by IT partners and recommend promotion to the Production environment
Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for all operations issues concerning WMS, with the ability to troubleshoot, investigate, analyze, and solve
Provide first-level operations support
Understand operation requirements and how to translate to the correct system configuration, as well as assist in documentation of requirements
Generate system reports and develop standard exports from the system on an as needed or scheduled basis
Understand the flow of inventory through a DC in WMS, and how it will be reconciled back to the system of record
Understand SAP's slotting capabilities to lead storage location optimization
Identify and propose enhancements and modifications to processes, procedures, and metrics to eliminate waste and drive operational efficiency and productivity.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Subjects: Supply Chain, Logistics, Business
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years' experience in warehouse operations leadership role
5+ years' of progressively more responsible distribution operations experience to ensure in-depth knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures.
Prior experience / training with Lean concepts and tools (eg. A3, 5S, Visual Mgmt, etc.)
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills needed for various audiences from senior leadership to front line team members.
Ability to set and manage priorities to ensure that project deadlines are met.
Strong documentation and relationship skills.
Technical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Strong organization and planning skills.
Extensive travel may be required.
