The Women's and Children's Charge Nurse will join a community-focused medical center known for its commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care. This facility boasts a Level II NICU, advanced pediatric services, and a reputation for excellence in maternal and child health. Recognized for its innovative programs, including inpatient lactation services and prenatal education, this center is a cornerstone of care for families in the region.
The Women's and Children's Charge Nurse will report directly to the Nurse Manager of the Women's and Children's Center. This role will oversee a team of RNs, techs, and support staff, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional patient care. Collaboration with a skilled team of CRNAs, pediatric hospitalists, and respiratory therapists is a key component of this position.
The Women's and Children's Charge Nurse will lead a dynamic unit that handles over 850 births annually. The center features 10 LDRP rooms, 7 NICU beds, and 24/7 support from specialized teams. This fast-paced, growing department is known for its supportive culture, active Unit-Based Council, and commitment to family-centered care.
The Women's and Children's Charge Nurse will balance clinical and administrative duties, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient unit operations. Clinically, this role involves staff education, mentoring, and maintaining clinical competencies. Administratively, responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, timecard management, and participating in audits. This role also ensures compliance with quality metrics and fosters interdisciplinary collaboration.
