Workday Delivery Manager (Project, Backlog & Engagement Focus)

About the Role: As our Workday Delivery Manager, you'll lead critical global HR technology projects and initiatives, bringing your expertise in project management, backlog management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful outcomes. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams, external vendor partners, and key business stakeholders, making sure every project aligns with our strategic objectives.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage the delivery of Workday projects of varying complexity, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and client expectations.
  • Own and proactively manage our project backlog using Monday.com, conducting regular sprint reviews, and driving agile best practices within the HR Tech team.
  • Provide leadership for our HR Technology (trying to set apart of what Rachel/Christina do...) project management, including creating robust project plans, stakeholder management strategies, and monitoring execution to meet milestones effectively.
  • Drive engagement while fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders, managing communication strategies, and management roadmaps for ongoing partnership success.
  • Facilitate collaboration across multiple teams to enhance our solutions and continuously improve our processes, practices, and documentation.
  • Drive and promote PMO best practices, establishing clear reporting structures and consistent project closure methods to enhance transparency and accountability.
  • Oversee vendor management, ensuring third-party resources align with our expectations, standards, budgets and project timelines.
  • Provide strategic input and guidance to resolve project challenges, manage escalations efficiently, and turn complex situations into successful outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, tools, and team capabilities, partnering with the VP of HR Technology to drive operational excellence and agility.
  • Conduct workshops, training, and deliver effective documentation to empower stakeholders and project teams, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Capture baseline requirements from our existing backlog to inform and enhance our strategic roadmap, enabling effective scoping and sizing of projects for steering committee prioritization.
