WHAT YOU'LL DO

Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Workers' Compensation Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's workers' compensation program, including claims management, injury prevention strategies, and compliance with all applicable federal and state laws. This role involves collaborating with field Human Resources, hotel leadership, insurance carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), and internal stakeholders to ensure effective claims handling and cost reduction while promoting a culture of safety.

WHAT YOU WILL DELIVER
  • Efficient management of workers' compensation claims to ensure timely reporting, investigation, and resolution while minimizing costs.
  • Compliance with federal and state workers' compensation laws, staying current with regulatory changes and best practices.
  • Implementation of safety and injury prevention initiatives to reduce workplace accidents and improve workplace safety.
  • Data analysis and reporting to identify trends, optimize claims performance, and recommend cost-saving strategies.
  • Strong partnerships with TPAs, insurance carriers, legal counsel, and medical providers to enhance claims management and risk mitigation.
  • A well-structured return-to-work (RTW) program that supports injured employees' early and safe reintegration into the workforce.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing workers' compensation programs, preferably in a multi-state or hospitality industry setting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state workers' compensation laws and regulations.
  • Experience working with third-party administrators (TPAs), insurance carriers, and legal counsel.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and workers' compensation claims management software.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and operate under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Travel as needed and work outside of regular hours as business needs require.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing workers' compensation programs, preferably in a multi-state or hospitality industry setting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state workers' compensation laws and regulations.
  • Experience working with third-party administrators (TPAs), insurance carriers, and legal counsel. Certification in workers' compensation, risk management, or safety (e.g., CWCP, ARM,CSP) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and workers' compensation claims management software.
