Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night rotation with weekend and holiday flexibility as needed Guaranteed Hours: [Information not provided] Experience: Neuroscience ICU background required with a self-score of 3 or 4 in specific areas License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Neuroscience ICU background - Experience with EVD, ICP, angiogram post-care, CRRT, carotid, and embolization - EPIC experience Job Description: - Treat patients suffering from strokes to traumatic brain injuries, providing vigilant monitoring for neurological decline to enable timely intervention. - Perform delicate procedures such as inserting central lines and pulmonary artery catheters. - Assist physicians with bedside procedures like inserting a drain into the patient's skull to reduce pressure. - Evaluate patients with brain injuries that may affect the rest of the body. - Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, speech capability, reflexes, and responses using various monitoring equipment. - Work collaboratively as part of a team with other healthcare professionals, ensuring essential communication for patient recovery. - Attend daily meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans. - Ensure compliance with facility policies regarding nicotine use and adhere to vaccination requirements. General Comments: - The facility requires all candidates to be nicotine-free. - Candidates with a history of license suspension will not be considered. - Compliance with the facility's flu vaccine policy from September 7 - April 30 is mandatory. - Previous employment as a permanent hire within the year may affect eligibility.
