VP (Business)

I'm currently partnered with a leading mid-market Investment Bank as they look to hire a 1st or 2nd year Vice President to their Business Services group in Chicago. The team advises mid/upper-mid market companies and financial sponsors on buy and sell-side M&A engagements.

Responsibilities:

• Quarterbacking the execution of deals from start to finish
• Attending client meetings
• Supervising Analyst and Associate level banking professionals
• Playing key leadership roles in all aspects of the transaction process - primarily in M&A execution
• Working on lean deal teams to maintain client relations and building M&A product expertise

Qualifications:

• ~6+ years of experience at another investment bank or M&A Advisory firm with some focus within the Industrials or Business Services space.
• Sponsor-backed company M&A advisory experience is preferred.
• MBA from a top-tier business school or Analyst to Associate promotion
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Math, or Economics from a target school preferred
• Significant buy and sell-side M&A experience
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, Word, & Powerpoint
• Team player and a self-starter
• Strong communication skills and able to work with tight deadlines
