With a strong focus on innovation, they are seeking a highly skilled VP, Quant Developer to lead the buildout of their next-generation risk trading platform.
Role Overview: As a VP, Quant Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing a high-performance risk trading platform. You will collaborate closely with quantitative researchers, risk managers, and portfolio managers to ensure robust, scalable, and efficient solutions that enhance risk analytics and trading strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of a Python-based risk trading platform.
Design and implement scalable and high-performance risk analytics tools.
Collaborate with quantitative researchers to integrate models into the trading system.
Develop APIs and data pipelines to support real-time and batch processing of market data.
Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability through best practices and rigorous testing.
Work closely with risk and trading teams to align technology with business objectives.
Optimize system performance for low-latency trading environments.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in quantitative development, preferably within buy-side or sell-side trading environments.
Strong proficiency in Python and its numerical computing libraries (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, etc.).
Experience with risk management systems and trading infrastructure.
Solid understanding of financial markets, derivatives, and risk modeling.
Hands-on experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed computing frameworks.
Familiarity with C++ or Java is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of algorithms and data structures.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
