Maintenance & Reliability Director A renowned Fortune 500 company operating in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Director for their Chicago plant. This position will oversee the entire maintenance program including multiple managers and a maintenance team of 100+ employees. The company is global leader in manufacturing and distributing a diverse range of CPG products. With a strong commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, they have consistently earned a place among the top players in the CPG sector.Compensation: $200,000 - $245,000 + 25% bonus + LTIP. Benefits begin day 1: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 20 days PTO, 401k with 6% match, merit increase review.Relocation Package for candidates moving based on individual situation.Job Description:Oversee 4 Maintenance Managers (Facilities, Reliability, Execution, Automation) and 100+ indirect maintenance reports.Union environment.TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) pillar implementation.Consumer Packaged Goods, Food, Pharmaceutical manufacturing backgrounds are desirable.Drive the site's Production and Utility assets' uptime performance by leading teams with urgency and focusing on executing preventative/predictive maintenance programsImplement the Progressive Maintenance Strategy, optimizing cost-effective maintenance & reliability strategies in support of TPM & Lean Six Sigma programs and plant business goalsHands on leadership and technical training opportunities for associates to enhance skills and knowledgeManage production and facility/utility asset maintenance to maximize resource and funding efficiency for short- and long-term plansFoster a proactive Preventative/Proactive-driven culture to optimize cost-effective maintenance & reliability for the line/plantSupport plant teams in reviewing/developing operating standards, line speeds, Global Efficiency (GE), etc., to identify and capitalize on improvement opportunitiesCoach, mentor, and develop Maintenance leadership staffCoordinate production equipment and facility maintenance activities, including capital projects, to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectivenessEnsure adherence to people safety and risk management regulations and proceduresEnsure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Prioritize food safety systems and procedures in daily decision makingQualifications:Engineering degree / Similar Discipline.At least 8 years' experience in maintenance leadership within a manufacturing environmentTPM experience or related Lean Six Sigma reliability programs is a plus.Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)Predictive Maintenance Planning & Scheduling experience.Maintenance Metric leadership, Mean-Time-Between-Failures, Unplanned downtime, scheduled maintenance, AM, PM.Mechanical & Electrical Technician management of multiple Managers/Supervisors and 50+ technicians.Budgetary oversight within maintenance programs (CAPEX, OPEX, MRO).
