In this position, you will contribute to maintaining the platforms of a complete value chain from source systems to modern analytics platforms. We are looking for an administrator to establish standards and develop automation to care for a variety of database platforms while sharing knowledge with global teammates and peer teams. With a large on-premises environment, we are seeking an innovative and driven administrator interested in providing outstanding support and furthering our data-driven culture as we manage our current environments and grow into our Cloud architecture as well.Key Responsibilities Administer and support SQL Server RDBMS environments (Windows)Strengthen team capabilities into Azure-deployed RDBMS platformsAdminister and support PostgreSQL RDBMS environments (Windows / Linux)Administer and support Db2 RDBMS environments (Windows)In collaboration with other infrastructure teams, establish standards and processes to build, and maintain standards-based, reliable data platform solutions for the global enterprise.Establish and execute patching and version update plans to comply with (and provide input into) security, change management, and other applicable policies.Collaborate with other Simplot Technology teams on their data-related needs including advanced support of application databasesWork with vendors and managed-service providers to enable their data-related needs/services and ensure their compliance with Simplot standards and policiesMonitor for DB server health, database performance, and other indicators of potential issues and attempt to address them preemptivelyRefresh lower environments, perform database restores, conduct regular disaster recovery simulations, and perform all aspects of Lifecycle ManagementUtilize Azure DevOps for work item management, knowledge management (wiki), CI/CD automation, and source controlCoordinate and prioritize the shared work item backlog with global DBA partnersParticipate in architectural/code reviews, produce documentation, and contribute to company-wide standardsCultivate cross-functional, collaborative relationships with global Peers, Data Owners/Stewards, and other IT ProfessionalsCommunicate technical and business topics to key Business StakeholdersManage and prioritize time across project, support, and enhancement initiativesParticipate in L3 production support and incident response for our team's globally deployed, 7x24 environments Typical EducationBachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or universityRelevant Experience5+ years related experience and/or training with SQL ServerOther InformationQualified candidate(s) will posses: Subject matter expertise in Microsoft SQL Server administration, LCM, maintenance, performance, and high availabilityExperience with PowerShell is strongly desiredExperience with RDBMS platforms in Azure is desiredExperience with PowerBI is strongly desiredExperience with PostgreSQL on Linux/Windows is a plusExperience with IBM Db2 on Windows is a plusExperience with other open source RDBMS platforms is a plusExperience with Microsoft SSAS, SSIS, SSRS is a plusExperience with IBM Db2 on IBMi is a plusA collaborative, team focus and a passion for peopleThe inclination to continuously learn and to evolve your technical skillsThe willingness to teach and to mentorThe desire to work on truly challenging, global-scale problems and standardization Job Requisition ID:22064Travel Required:Less than 10%Location(s):Simplot Headquarters - BoiseCountry:United States**The J.R.
