Sr. BI Developer - Tableau/Python

Description:
An enterprise insurance employer is looking for a Sr. BI Developer to join their BI team focusing specifically on the reporting and visualization of data. This position will primarily be creating dashboards using Tableau with some responsibilities in basic ETL processes. Responsibilities include:
* Working under the direction of the Architect or the BI Lead to modify existing reports whenever there's a business requirement change, identifying issues with business requirements.
o I.e., if you have a report of a list of customer's policies there's a new product they started selling and they haven't put it on the report they will go in & query it to add the new product
* 80% reporting/visualization, 20% ETL work
o Creating lightweight ETL code using Python
o Visualization work: will tell stories through images.
Required Skills & Experience
* Data visualization and reporting with Tableau preferably (secondary Power BI)
o Artistic abilities with visualization (ideally someone who is passionate about telling a story through images)
o Experience building/creating dashboards
o Building Scatter Plots, Heat Maps, Bar Charts, etc.
o Simple data movement to make reporting simpler
* SQL -- proficient, not expert level
o Able to make use of indexes
o Writing joins
o Query tuning/query optimization
* Basic Python scripting for ETL processes
